This page contains required disclosures and disclaimers regarding our role as independent insurance producers. It applies to our work in ACA Marketplace health insurance, Medicare (Medicare Advantage, Medicare Supplement, and Part D), and life insurance.

3. Government Affiliation

Janowski Insurance Services is the trade name for private, independent insurance producers. We are not connected with or endorsed by the United States government or the federal Medicare program. We do not represent the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), the Social Security Administration, or any state Medicaid agency.

4. Carrier Appointments

As independent producers, we represent multiple insurance organizations across the lines of business we offer. The specific carriers and product lines we are appointed with may change as we add or change appointments. The recommendation we make to you is based on the carriers and plans we are appointed to sell at the time of the recommendation, not on every plan available in your service area.

5. How We Are Compensated

For ACA Marketplace, Medicare, and life insurance products, we are compensated by the insurance carrier when a policy is issued and remains in force. We do not charge clients a fee for plan comparison, enrollment assistance, or ongoing service. Your monthly premium is the same whether you enroll on your own or with us.

For products with material differences in compensation structure (such as certain annuity products), we provide a separate written disclosure at the time of recommendation, in accordance with applicable state law.

6. Federal Marketplace (HealthCare.gov) Registration

To assist consumers with ACA Marketplace enrollment, we maintain annual registration with the federally facilitated Marketplace (FFM) operated by CMS, including the required annual training and completion of the agreements with the Marketplace. Eligibility determinations for premium tax credits, cost-sharing reductions, Medicaid, and CHIP are made by the Marketplace based on the information you provide, not by us.

7. Notice of Availability of Language Assistance and Auxiliary Aids

We provide free aids and services to people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, including written information in alternate formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats) where reasonably available.

We provide free language services to people whose primary language is not English, including qualified interpreters where reasonably available. Please contact us if you need these services.

8. Educational Information vs. Marketing Information

Pages on this website that describe Medicare, ACA, or life insurance products generally are educational in nature and do not contain plan-specific benefit, premium, or cost-sharing information that would constitute "marketing" under federal regulations. Plan-specific information is provided to you only after we have established a producer-client relationship and obtained any required scope-of-appointment or consent documentation.

9. Medicare Beneficiary Rights

Medicare beneficiaries have rights and protections established by federal law, including the right to receive information from CMS, the right to file complaints with CMS or your state's Senior Medicare Patrol, and the right to be free from discrimination based on race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex.
